Happy Mother’s Day!

I am not good in making poems.

And after you read this, you’ll agree.

But I want to do something different this Mother’s Day.

Something out of my comfort zone, for my mama to feel more special.

And I realized holiday cards always have a poem on it or quotes.

So, I thought maybe that what makes people want it.

I know, stupidest idea ever.

Anyway, it’s worth a try.

To my Mama,

Whenever I was sick and feeling blue,

Mama always there to comfort me.

Whenever I received a failing grade,

Mama always there to cheer me up.

Whenever a ball hit me on my face,

Mama always there to put ice on my bump.

And whenever I feel that the world is against me,

Mama always there to tell me good advice.

I may not be a perfect daughter,

I may not say ‘I love you’ often,

But one thing I can promise you Mama,

          I will always be there for you;

When you needed someone to comfort you,

Or to cheer you up in your lonely days.

I will take care of you until you grow old,

And I will never get tired to love you until the end of time.

          Happy Mother’s Day, Mama!

                                                                                                             – XOXO –

Love is in the air!

Soon, every store will be filled with people who will buy flowers & chocolates for their loved ones.

I don’t have any special plan for today, just like the previous years of my life. But it’s okay, I thought my purpose is to share facts about Valentine’s day. For this year, I will share 2 important information that I found on Google.

First is the story of Saint Valentine, a Roman priest, who were sentenced in 269 A.D. to a three-part execution of a beating, stoning, and finally decapitation all because of his stand for Christian marriage.1

In my opinion, Saint Valentine’s story is a great reminder that this day is a celebration of love at its purest; and not just any tradition where if you didn’t give anything special to your girlfriend/wife/husband/boyfriend, he/she will never talk to you again. Of course, the latter part is exaggerated. I honestly don’t know how people react when they don’t receive gifts from their loved ones on this day.

Lastly, the places where you couldn’t celebrate Valentine’s day. For couples who love to travel, it’s a must to know the places where you wouldn’t end up in jail just because you celebrate Valentine’s day. Some of the countries that don’t celebrate Valentine’s is: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Iran.2

There are explanations in the articles, you can check it below for later.

Well, that’s all for now… enjoy your day!

– XOXO –

~ Late post ~

December 6, 1986 – There’s a couple in the hospital who are expecting to have a child. But the doctor said “Sorry not yet. Come back tomorrow.” Even the wife is in pain, the husband still decides to go home and wait.

And tomorrow comes, December 7, a baby girl has been born. They were surprise because they thought they were having a boy. But deep inside of the wife’s heart is rejoicing because she didn’t want to have a boy.

30 years later, the baby turned into a woman.

That’s how I tell my story. I thought it would be a good idea for my 30th year milestone to tell my story to my readers because 30 years is a very long time, there are lots of good memories to tell. But I’m surprise, and quite disappointed, that I don’t have much to tell. Looking back at my life when I was a child to teenage years, well there’s nothing to tell because I’m just an ordinary invisible girl who tried hard to blend in. Sadly, I failed. But I did have one achievement and that was, when I became one of the CAT leader during my senior year. *Note: CAT is a military training for highschool students.* I considered this to be one of my achievement because I’m a shy-type kind of person. Plus, I lose a lot of weight. Unfortunately, I recovered fast.

During my twenties, I graduated college (another achievement) and strive to build a promising career. After 5 jobs for the duration of 10 years, I’m still a failure. But I’m not fully disappointed because I did have a job as a writer, my dream job. Sadly, the company filed for bankruptcy.

In my thirties, I honestly don’t know what to expect. I just hope, and pray, that it will be fruitful both for my career and personal life. Also, good health for me and my family.

Happy New Year everyone!

The year 2015 officially ended. To sum it up, my life last year started great, it was just sad that it didn’t last until the year ended.

But a new year has come, 2016 — A fresh start, new opportunity, and more chance to do the things I need and love to do.

Cheers everyone! May we all have a wonderful and healthy life!

2 year Anniversary

Another blogging achievement: 2 years of blogging

2nd year anniversaryIt’s my second anniversary as a blogger. Yay! I admit, I never thought that I could pull this up for this long.

Blogging wasn’t on my list of things that I wanted to have. For me a blog is like having a relationship, it requires a lot of attention and maintenance just to make the relationship work smoothly.

And 2 years after, I still think that way. I feel guilty whenever I haven’t find the time to post anything, like for a month or more. Or worst, I didn’t open my account at all.

So to lessen my guilt, I opened my blog at work and pinned it on my Internet browser. This way I can visit it, read some from the freshly pressed, and hopefully can write something when inspiration hits me.

Anyhow, congratulations to me! I hope soon I can write a story again. So all my visitors will have something to look forward to when they visit my blog.
