Happy 2017 everyone!

Happy New Year! 2017

2017 is finally here. This is a fresh start for everyone. Enjoy!

In one point in every girl’s life/childhood, they owned a Barbie doll. In my opinion, it’s one doll that will always be in demand…  and be a girl’s best friend.

And for some people, their fondness to Barbie still lives on until they grew up. *Guilty*

I had my first Barbie doll when I was, I think, 7 years old. It was my birthday gift from my parents. I didn’t really ask for it they just assumed that I would loved it since… it was a Barbie doll. Who wouldn’t love a Barbie doll right?

But that time, I didn’t know its value. I’m just happy to receive it because it was MY toy… just for me. *Side note: I have four other siblings, so, all the toys that our parents’ bought need to be shared to one another.*

But I still shared it to my sisters. They helped me sew clothes, and cut our brand new socks and make a dress out of it. My mom was furious when she saw that, and for the first time she smacked us with a stick. It was really scary. But we knew it was our fault so we just apologize after.

29 years after, I’m still in love with Barbie dolls. I’m still buying, not for me of course, but for my Godchild. For me, it’s my way on sharing them my wonderful experience with Barbie when I was at their age; hoping they will have it too.

Anyway, you may ask why all of the sudden I’m talking about Barbie.

Well May 1 of this year was my nephew’s 4th birthday. So my sisters and I decided to bring him in Toy Kingdom and let him decide what toy to buy. Knowing my nephew, he really took his time running around looking to one toy to another, then weigh which toy he likes best.

And while he was doing that, I visited the Barbie section just to check if they have a new Limited Edition doll. I wasn’t expecting to see something great since there are no occasions like holidays or special events. But my eyes wide-opened when I saw this

I started to count my money mentally, just to know if I can afford it. Sadly, I don’t. I asked my sister and even my dad, but they said ‘NO!’ My dad even told me that I’m 29 years old… I’m too OLD to play it.

I wanted to contest, but decided not to because they had a point. So I just let it go.

But for my birthday this coming December, I hope and prayed, someone will give this to me as a gift.

*Finger crossed*

Happy New Year everyone!

The year 2015 officially ended. To sum it up, my life last year started great, it was just sad that it didn’t last until the year ended.

But a new year has come, 2016 — A fresh start, new opportunity, and more chance to do the things I need and love to do.

Cheers everyone! May we all have a wonderful and healthy life!
